La Compagnie Airline To Sell Business-Class Seats for Economy Prices

A brand new French boutique carrier company, named La Compagnie, is striving to ‘democratise’ business-class by offering business-class seats for economy prices.

The commercial flight company will start their service in July with five weekly flights between Newark Liberty and Charles de Gaulle, La Compagnie is advertising fares to Europe that start at around $1,600; not including their introductory promotions. The carrier is operating a Boeing 757-200 aircraft entirely equipped with business-class seating: a single-class cabin that has 74 seats that recline flat in a two-by-two configuration. Each seat is positioned in a private shell, passengers also receive pre-loaded Samsung tablets for entertainment and the entire plane has free Wi-Fi.

La Compagnie is reportedly offering a two-person summer flight deal: two return tickets between Paris and New York for €1,776 ($1,209.22 per person). The deal is from July 11th through September 5th, with bookings to be made by mid-August.
