The global technology companies behind the Trusted Tech Alliance initiative to promote secure, transparent and trusted digital infrastructure.

Strengthening trust in digital technology

The Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA) is a global initiative bringing together leading technology companies committed to developing and operating secure, reliable and responsible digital technologies.

Announced at the Munich Security Conference in February 2026, the alliance aims to establish a set of shared principles for building and operating a trusted technology stack, spanning connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software and artificial intelligence.

Sixteen companies from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America have joined the alliance as founding members. Together, they aim to strengthen trust in digital technologies while promoting global collaboration across the technology ecosystem.

What is the Trusted Tech Alliance?

The Trusted Tech Alliance is a collaboration between global technology providers that have agreed to follow a common framework of principles covering governance, security, transparency and supply chain oversight.

The initiative was created in response to growing concerns about the reliability, resilience and governance of digital technologies as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and advanced semiconductor technologies become increasingly central to economies and national security.

The alliance focuses on ensuring that technology providers operate according to shared commitments regardless of where their products are developed or deployed.

By aligning around common standards, the group aims to help governments, businesses and users trust that digital infrastructure and emerging technologies are developed and operated responsibly.

Why was the alliance was created?

The launch of the alliance reflects a rapidly evolving technology landscape as digital infrastructure becomes more complex and globally interconnected, governments and customers are seeking greater reliability and resilience from the companies that build and operate these technologies.

At the same time, concerns about privacy, data protection and the societal impact of emerging technologies have led to growing scrutiny of how technology is developed and deployed.

The alliance’s founders say collaboration across the technology stack is essential to address these concerns and to ensure that technological innovation continues to deliver economic and social benefits.

The five principles behind trusted technology

Members of the Trusted Tech Alliance have committed to five core principles that define how trusted technology providers should develop, deploy and operate their systems.

1. Transparent corporate governance and ethical conduct

Companies commit to strong corporate governance and ethical business practices designed to ensure accountability and transparency.

2. Secure development and operational transparency

Members agree to develop and operate technologies securely throughout their lifecycle, including independent assessments and transparent operational practices.

3. Robust supply chain and security oversight

Alliance members commit to maintaining strong oversight of their supply chains and holding suppliers to high global security and quality standards.

4. An open and resilient digital ecosystem

The alliance supports a digital environment that is open, cooperative and inclusive while encouraging innovation and interoperability across technologies.

5. Respect for the rule of law and data protection

Members agree to operate in accordance with legal frameworks and to uphold strong protections for data privacy and security.

Who are the members of the Trusted Tech Alliance?

The alliance brings together companies operating across multiple layers of the global technology stack, including cloud platforms, AI developers, telecommunications providers and semiconductor manufacturers.

The founding members are:

  • Anthropic
  • ASML
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Cassava Technologies
  • Cohere
  • Ericsson
  • Google Cloud
  • Hanwha Group
  • Jio Platforms
  • Microsoft
  • Nokia
  • Nscale
  • NTT

The group represents companies involved in everything from semiconductor manufacturing and telecommunications networks to cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence platforms.

What does the alliance aim to achieve?

The Trusted Tech Alliance plans to expand its network of technology providers while promoting a trusted, interoperable and open global technology ecosystem.

Members say the goal is to help shape shared approaches to digital infrastructure that support national sovereignty, economic competitiveness and technological resilience.

By working with governments and customers, the alliance aims to ensure emerging technologies such as AI, advanced connectivity and cloud computing deliver broad societal and economic benefits while maintaining strong standards of security and trust.

Executive comment on the alliance

“In an era of rapid technological change, collaboration between like-minded industry peers is essential to promote customer trust and realise the full benefit of technology on the economy and society. We are joining the Trusted Tech Alliance to reinforce our continued commitment to provide customers with trusted, secure, and resilient technology,” said David Zapolsky, Chief Global Affairs & Legal Officer, Amazon.

“As AI systems grow more powerful—driving innovation, accelerating economic growth, and reshaping national security—the United States and its allies and partners must ensure that the world’s most widely adopted models are safe, reliable, trustworthy and transparently developed. Anthropic is proud to join the Trusted Tech Alliance and to support American AI leadership and advance common principles for trusted AI alongside like-minded partners,” said Sarah Heck, Head of External Affairs, Anthropic.

“At a time of unprecedented progress in emerging technology adoption globally, Cassava Technologies is proud to be a founding member of the Trusted Tech Alliance. I believe that responsible leadership and collaboration at a global level will ensure that technology continues to enable human progress and inclusive economic development, especially important for our youth and future generations,” said Strive Masiyiwa, Founder and Executive Chairman, Cassava Technologies.

“No single company or a country can build a secure and trusted digital stack alone. Rather, trust and security can only be achieved together. That’s why, together with like-minded industry peers, we have launched the Trusted Tech Alliance – an initiative committed to verifiable trust practices across the digital stack,” said Börje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson.

“Google Cloud has a long-held commitment to promote choice, trust, and sovereignty that is codified in our technology today. Through the Trusted Tech Alliance, we aim to champion the principles we already adhere to: Promoting customer choice and providing a portfolio of solutions, enabled by technical controls and local partnerships, to meet strict sovereignty requirements and regional standards,” said Marcus Jadotte, Vice President, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Google Cloud.
