Orbbec and Basler AG recently launched a strategic technology collaboration at LogiMAT 2026, marking a new era in integrated and scalable 3D vision solutions for industrial automation, robotics, and logistics applications.
STRENGTHENING INDUSTRIAL VISION
At LogiMAT 2026, the international trade show for intralogistics solutions and process management, Orbbec announced a technology collaboration with Basler AG, an international manufacturer of world-class industrial cameras and a long-standing reference in machine vision.
The partnership will provide customers worldwide with integrated and scalable industrial 3D vision solutions for demanding automation tasks across robotics and logistics.
The collaboration moves beyond a traditional distribution model, combining Orbbec’s proprietary chip-level depth sensing technology and in-house manufacturing capabilities with Basler AG’s expertise in industrial vision, system integration, and global go-to-market strategy.
Through the partnership, customers will benefit from clearly defined, tested, and long-term available solutions within an established industrial ecosystem.
THE LAUNCH OF STEREO MINI
The first outcome of the collaboration is the introduction of Basler AG’s Stereo mini product line, launched at LogiMAT 2026.
Stereo mini delivers a stereo-based 3D vision system from a single source, including camera hardware, tested configurations and accessories, documentation, and integration into the Basler AG pylon software development kit (SDK).
The system is designed for perception tasks in logistics and automation, including navigation, obstacle detection, and general robotics applications.
“Basler AG’s industrial expertise and global presence make them the right partner for scaling 3D vision in demanding automation markets,” said Mike McSweeney, Vice President of Sales at Orbbec.
“By combining Orbbec’s depth sensing technology with Basler AG’s industrial software platform and integration capabilities, this partnership enables stereo-based 3D vision solutions with reduced integration effort and long-term security.”
René von Fintel, Executive Director of Business Management at Basler AG commented: “With Orbbec as our technology partner, we are specifically strengthening our 3D portfolio.
“With the Basler AG Stereo mini camera, we are expanding our range of solutions in the field of navigation, obstacle detection, and environment mapping for autonomous mobile robots. The Basler Stereo Mini is also well suited for general 3D applications where price-performance and small size are important factors.”
Visitors to LogiMAT 2026 were able to experience the Stereo mini product line at the Basler AG booth, with further joint developments planned as the collaboration continues to evolve.
