EcoVadis and Workiva have partnered to connect supplier carbon intelligence with audit-ready reporting, helping organisations improve Scope 3 accuracy, strengthen disclosure, and accelerate credible decarbonisation strategies.
EcoVadis has announced a strategic partnership with Workiva Inc., strengthening its mission to create a more interconnected carbon ecosystem for global supply chains.
The collaboration will connect EcoVadis’ primary supplier carbon data directly into Workiva’s AI-powered platform, enabling mutual customers to move beyond industry averages and towards more granular, audit-ready sustainability reporting.
The development forms part of EcoVadis’ wider Carbon Data Network (CDN) initiative, designed to help procurement teams integrate suppliers’ primary carbon emissions data directly into Scope 3 reporting processes. The CDN sits within EcoVadis’ Carbon Action Manager (CAM) solution, which also includes a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Calculator, alongside supplier collaboration, self-reporting, and upskilling resources.
“Meaningful climate action starts with data you can actually trust. By replacing industry averages with verified supplier insights, we’re enabling organisations to master the complexities of Scope 3 emissions. This new partnership is a vital step in transforming the global supply chain from a source of carbon risk into a driver of measurable climate resilience.”
The partnership connects EcoVadis’ CDN directly into Workiva Carbon, creating a centralised environment for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data.
Through the integration, companies will be able to collect, calculate, and coordinate carbon data across their value chains with investor-grade accuracy. EcoVadis will act as the supplier engagement and sustainability data engine, supporting suppliers with collaboration, reporting, and capability development.
Meanwhile, Workiva’s AI-powered platform will manage carbon calculation and disclosure workflows, streamlining integrated reporting across both financial and non-financial datasets within a governed environment built for assurance.
Together, the platforms aim to provide organisations with a clearer, more transparent view of supply chain impact, whilst supporting more reliable sustainability reporting and credible pathways towards Net Zero targets.
DATA-DRIVEN DISCLOSURE
According to Workiva, the partnership reflects growing market demand for sustainability data that can integrate seamlessly with financial reporting requirements.
Mandi McReynolds, Chief Sustainability Officer at Workiva, noted that as sustainability disclosure requirements become increasingly mandatory, businesses need carbon data that is fully connected to their financial reporting processes.
“This partnership brings EcoVadis’ best-in-class Scope 3 supplier intelligence directly into Workiva’s platform, where it unifies with financial, risk, and sustainability data in a single audit-grade system. With Workiva AI surfacing insights and validating data quality along the way, companies can move from supply chain measurement to board-ready data and disclosure without ever leaving the platform”
The partnership with Workiva represents another step in EcoVadis’ strategy to build what it describes as the market’s most interconnected carbon ecosystem.
By expanding the Carbon Data Network with established technology partners, EcoVadis aims to improve reporting precision, strengthen transparency, and help organisations scale climate action across increasingly complex global supply chains.
