Aramex has accelerated its digital transformation strategy with the launch of a new global data platform built on Google Cloud, designed to deliver real-time operational insight across its logistics network.
The Dubai-headquartered logistics provider has deployed an AI-first data foundation built on Google Cloud, creating what the company describes as a “single source of truth” for its global operations. The platform aims to unify operational data across Aramex’s network, enabling faster decision-making across areas such as last-mile delivery, logistics planning, and customer operations.
As supply chains become increasingly complex and data-driven, logistics companies are investing heavily in advanced analytics platforms to improve visibility, efficiency, and operational performance.
AI-first architecture enables real-time logistics intelligence
Aramex’s new platform replaces legacy systems with a modern lakehouse architecture, allowing the company to process and analyse large volumes of operational data more efficiently.
By consolidating data into a unified platform, Aramex can generate consistent, real-time insights across operations spanning more than 70 countries. The architecture supports faster data processing and enables teams to respond more effectively to shipment flows, capacity management, and changing customer demand.
The platform also lays the groundwork for more advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, including predictive analytics and automated decision-making across logistics operations.
“Data is the fuel that powers modern logistics, but its true value lies in how it is harnessed,” said Françoise Russo, Chief Technology Officer at Aramex. “By building this AI-first Lakehouse architecture, we are not just modernising our technology; we are enabling our teams to predict, adapt, and deliver faster than ever before.”
Single source of truth strengthens operational visibility
A central feature of the initiative is the creation of a single source of truth across the organisation, ensuring all departments operate from the same reliable data foundation.
From last-mile delivery operations to corporate strategy teams, the unified data environment aims to improve transparency and trust in operational insights throughout the business.
By standardising data governance and reporting, Aramex also expects to strengthen collaboration across teams while enabling more accurate performance monitoring across its logistics network.
Google Cloud partnership supports scalable global rollout
The new data foundation has been developed in partnership with Google Cloud and is being rolled out through a phased deployment strategy designed to maintain operational resilience as it expands across Aramex’s global network.
The architecture has also been engineered to meet complex regulatory and data residency requirements across the different jurisdictions where Aramex operates.
Ziad Jammal, General Manager for Google Cloud in the UAE, Levant, and North Africa, said the collaboration demonstrates how cloud infrastructure can help logistics companies unlock the full value of their data.
“Aramex is setting a new standard for the global supply chain. We are proud to provide the cloud infrastructure and Agentic AI foundation that empower Aramex to automate complex decisions and turn data into a strategic competitive advantage.”
